Accepting these terms

By using the site, creating a mystery or buying a package, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please stop using the service. You confirm you are of legal age to enter a contract, and that if you are buying on behalf of an organisation you have the authority to bind it.

What we provide

We generate original murder mystery party material — a story, characters, clues, invitations, host notes and printable files — written around the guest list you give us. Each mystery is fiction, written for entertainment at a private party. Nothing on this site describes, encourages or depicts real crime.

Your account and guest details

Keep your sign-in details to yourself; you are responsible for what happens under your account. Give us accurate information and keep it up to date. When you add guests, you confirm you have their permission to share their name and contact details with us for the purpose of running your party. How we store that information is set out in our Privacy Notice.

Acceptable use

You must not use the service unlawfully, for fraud or spam, to infringe anyone’s intellectual property, or to interfere with its security — no malware, probing, scraping or circumventing technical limits. You must not use a guest’s real name, likeness or private details to harass, defame or threaten them, and you must not generate content that is illegal, hateful or harmful.

Content written with AI

Mysteries are produced with the help of AI. You are responsible for the guest details you enter, for reading the material before you use it, and for how you use the result at your party. Output can be inaccurate or unexpected; it is entertainment, not professional advice of any kind. We may refuse, filter or remove content that breaks these terms, and we may suspend accounts that do so repeatedly.

Intellectual property

The site, its software, branding and design belong to Fork Yeah Labs LLC. You get a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the service and the mystery materials you have paid for at your own private events. You may print and share those materials with your guests. You may not resell, redistribute or publish them commercially, and you may not reverse engineer the service. If you believe material here infringes your rights, write to us and we will investigate and take it down where warranted.

Payment, tax and cancellation

Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns. Payment, billing, tax and cancellation mechanics are covered by Paddle’s Buyer Terms. Our own refund rules — 30 days, provided the materials have not yet been opened, viewed on screen or downloaded, and the digital game has not been run — are on our Refunds page. By opening your materials you agree that delivery of the digital content has begun. Packages are one-off purchases; upgrading a package costs only the difference in price, and is never charged per guest.

Service level

We work to keep the service running, but we do not guarantee it will be uninterrupted or error free. Features may change. To the fullest extent permitted by law we disclaim all implied warranties, including merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose.

Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, including lost profits, data or goodwill. Nothing here excludes liability for fraud, death or personal injury where the law does not allow it. You agree to cover us against claims arising from your own unlawful use of the service or the content you put into it.

Suspension and termination

We may suspend or end your access for material breach of these terms, non-payment, security or fraud risk, or repeated or serious policy violations. You can stop using the service at any time and ask us to delete your account and its data. After termination you will no longer be able to download materials from the site, so keep your own copies of anything you want to keep.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, United States, and disputes will be heard in the courts of that state. You may not transfer your rights under these terms without our consent; we may transfer ours as part of a merger or sale of the business. Neither side is liable for delays caused by events beyond reasonable control.
